Gneiss Spice custom jars and refills are packed to order which allows us to offer the freshest spices, guaranteed! Most spices are certified organic, kosher and sustainably harvested (see individual listings for certification details).  

Refill packaging is compostable and perfect for your zero-waste kitchen; it is not meant for long-term storage. Read more about our zero-waste, eco-friendly packaging here. If you prefer recyclable paper refill packaging, please write us a note at checkout and we will swap for you. 

Each listing has a drop-down menu with 4 options: 

1. Small Refill—a shy 1/4 cup volume (~3 1/2 Tablespoons), sized to fit our small jars.
2. Large Refill—a 1/2 cup volume (~8 Tablespoons), sized to fit our large jars.
3. Small Filled Jar—shy 1/4 cup volume.
4. Large Filled Jar—heaping 1/2 cup volume.
