Why is saffron expensive? Each saffron flower produces three stigmas. The stigmas are hand-harvested and you need over 150 flowers for each gram of dried saffron!
Saffron is common in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking, and you can't make paella without it! Tip: You can steep saffron in ice, as seen in our Saffron TikTok.
Details: Saffron threads hand-harvested in western Afghanistan from organically-grown, non-GMO crocus flowers.
Includes: Include a mini mortar & pestle for grinding and steeping saffron.

Great quality!
Lovely saffron, I use it when I make homemade yellow rice, just a little sprinkle on top is a nice addition to the dish. Great price and I like knowing its quality is there.
