Chili Crisp Mix

$ 4.50

Create a fiery, flavor-packed chili crisp in just 5 minutes.

This quick and easy version of the beloved chili crisp delivers bold flavors at half the cost and time. While it's no substitute for Momofuku's iconic condiment (we're big David Chang fans and recommend his book, Cooking at Home),, it’s a great option when you're short on time. Use it as a finishing condiment on noodles, fried rice, or even eggs for a spicy, crunchy kick.

Chili Crisp Directions: Put a shy 1/4 cup chili crisp seasoning in a heat proof bowl. Next, heat 1/4 to 1/2 cup preferred neutral oil (canola, peanut or grapeseed work well) to a simmer in a small skillet. If you tilt the skillet, and the oil shimmers in a ripple, it's ready! Alternatively, stick the end of a wooden spoon in the oil and if the bubbles rise to the surface it's ready. Quickly pour the hot oil over the spices and stir. Store in an airtight jar at room temperature for up to a month.

Chili Crunch Directions: Add an extra 2 tablespoons peanuts or sliced almonds to the recipe above to add additional texture.

Chili Oil Directions: To make an infused chili oil, use a ratio of 3 or 4 parts oil to 1 part chili crisp. Follow same directions as above.

To add more flavor, first simmer a shallot in the oil for 20 minutes until crispy and golden!
