Ancho Chile (Ground)
Ancho chile, Capsicum annuum, has been used as food and medicine for over 9000 years by Native Americans. Ancho chile is what you get when a green poblano pepper ripens until red. They are sweet with a very mild heat. My favorite party trick is to mix some with sour cream.
